about the wave foundation
The Adopt an Animal program helps support core initiatives of the WAVE Foundation which include youth education, conservation and volunteer opportunities. The Adopt an Animal program makes a great gift for a loved one or even yourself and supports a very special cause. Adoption dollars are vital to the success of WAVE’s unique programs.

There are 10 Fishy Friends to choose from:
Orange Clownfish, King Penguin, West Coast Sea Nettle Jellyfish, Asian Small-Clawed Otter, Sandtiger Shark, Sweet Pea the Shark Ray, Seahorse, Sandbar Shark, Loggerhead Sea Turtle and Giant Pacific Octopus.

A personalized adoption certificate signed by the

With a $75 contribution you receive all of the

A unique adorable plushy toy of your adopted friend*
Recognition on the WAVE Foundation website
  *If the plushy of your adopted animal is not available, we will substitute a Sweet Pea Shark Ray plushy.

Thank you for your support! Animal adoptions are good for one year. Due to the popularity of some species, some animals may have more than one sponsor. All sponsored animals remain in the care of the Newport Aquarium and no ownership rights are conferred.
Please note that animals represented in the Adopt an Animal program are living creatures and may occasionally be removed from public display for breeding or other reasons. We apologize for any inconvenience.
